Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will you top up someone else's work?
A: Our top-up service is exclusively for our existing clients. If you’ve had enhancements done elsewhere (brows, eyes, or lips), you will be considered a new client, and standard pricing will apply. Please note that we cannot work on any previous tattoos, and correction charges may be applicable. We recommend sending photos of your old work prior to booking. For safety reasons, a minimum of 6 months should elapse since your last treatment elsewhere before arranging an appointment with us.
Q: Should I send in a photo of myself before booking an appointment?
A: Yes, we encourage you to send a photo if you’ve previously had permanent beauty treatments in the area. This helps us assess the current state of any existing tattoos, especially if you’re interested in lip services, as our pigments show best on pale to pink lips.
Q: What is a patch test, and how can I book one?
A: A patch test is a quick 2-minute allergy test offered to all new and existing clients. It involves a small scratch behind the ear with a tattoo needle, followed by the application of ink pigments. If you are aware of any potential allergy risks, we invite you to drop in for a patch test during our opening hours. Please contact us to book it in.
Q: Can I book a consultation session?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer consultation sessions, as all relevant information about our services is available on our website. We find it more efficient to discuss your design preferences on the day of your appointment rather than scheduling a separate consultation.
Q: Will you draw the shapes first?
A: Absolutely! We will discuss and draw the tattoo design with you before starting. Brow designs will be based on classic measurements, while lip and eye designs will be tailored to your preferences. We will collaborate on any adjustments to ensure you’re completely satisfied with the color and design before proceeding.
Q: How long is the appointment?
A: New appointments for brows or eyes typically take 1.5 to 2 hours, with most of the time dedicated to color selection and design. For new lip treatments, expect the appointment to last between 2.5 to 3 hours.
Q: Is the touch-up appointment necessary?
A: While the touch-up is not mandatory, we highly recommend it. Results can vary from person to person, and any concerns can be addressed during your touch-up session.
Q: How do I secure an appointment?
A: To find a suitable date and time, please reach out to us via email or phone. A £60 booking fee is required to secure your appointment. This fee will be applied towards your treatment price but is non-refundable. Please note that no reservation can be made without this payment, and standard terms and conditions apply.
Q: I can’t attend my appointment anymore.
A: If you need to reschedule, please notify us via email at least 7 days before your booked appointment. With sufficient notice, we can help you find a new date or retain the booking fee for future use, either for yourself or a friend or family member.
Q: How many sessions will it take to remove my old enhancement?
A: We cannot provide a precise estimate for removal, as it depends on how deeply the ink has settled. The number of sessions required will also depend on how you feel about the healed area after the first removal.
Post-Treatment Care
Full aftercare instructions are available on our website under the "Aftercare" tab.
Regarding touch-up appointments, we adhere strictly to specific terms and conditions, which are detailed on our website.
Q: How long does it take to heal? Will I be able to go to work?
A: The initial healing period is 2 weeks, with special care needed for the treated area. Overall healing can take up to 28 days (4 weeks) for brows and eyes, and up to 35-42 days for lips (5-6 weeks). Most clients can resume normal activities after the first week, provided they follow aftercare instructions and ensure no scabbing occurs.
Q: Can I get them wet or work out?
A: No, please avoid getting the area wet or exercising for at least one week post-treatment to minimize the risk of complications or infection and to preserve the pigment. If scabs are still present, they must remain dry until they fall off naturally. Avoid hot baths for a couple of weeks as well.
Q: Can I wear makeup afterward?
A: You may wear makeup the day after treatment, but avoid applying it directly on the treated area for at least one week. Makeup can be applied elsewhere as usual.
Q: When can I go out in the sun after treatment?
A: To prolong the longevity of your tattoo, avoid direct sunlight on the treated area. We recommend wearing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect the area. For more detailed aftercare guidance, please refer to our website.
Q: Why does my tattoo seem to "disappear" before a month?
A: This is a normal part of the healing process. If you notice color unevenness, remember that a retouch visit is offered for first-time clients. Please consult our terms and conditions for further details.
Q: My brows are itchy a week after treatment. Is this normal?
A: Itching is a common experience during healing, particularly post-scabbing. This indicates that your skin is healing. Please refrain from picking, peeling, or rubbing the area, as the tattoo may appear lighter once scabs flake off naturally.
Q: Why must I have the complimentary touch-up at least 4 weeks after treatment?
A: The area requires a full 4 weeks to heal before any further work can be safely done. Any work done earlier may increase the risk of scarring, and we will not perform a touch-up before the end of this period.
Q: How long will my enhancement last?
A: The longevity of your treatment varies based on individual skin types, age, lifestyle, and post-treatment care. Generally, eyebrow treatments can last 1-3 years. For optimal results, we recommend an annual touch-up. Lip and eye treatments can last up to 3 years without the need for a touch-up.
Q: How soon can I have another removal treatment or new enhancement?
A: For our removal technique, at least 10-14 days is required between removal sessions, and a minimum of 4 weeks is necessary between a removal session and a new enhancement.
